The ruler is made from stainless steel sheet that is too thin and flexible for its intended use. As a result it got badly damaged in the post. It had got badly bent, also there are two deep scores in the metal. This may also have been due to the flimsy packaging which offered no protecting during transit. It could have been a quality tool with just a little more thought.
