The light is good for many applications and it adjustable from 1 bulb to 5 bulb and has a strobing effect as well. Comes with a charger so you never have to worry about swapping batteries. Head strap does have to be mounted on the device the long one is for side to side and the short is for over the head. Make sure to loop the short one through the long strap before mounting
