[Equipped with voice recognition function] This remote control is equipped with voice control function. Just by pressing the voice recognition button and speaking, you can quickly search and operate the programs and apps you want to watch.
[How to pair if you don't have the original remote control] 1. Unplug the Fire TV's power cable from the outlet and plug it back in to restart the Fire TV. Once you see the Fire TV home screen, you can start using your new remote. If you cannot operate the remote control, proceed to step 2. 2. Press and hold the “Home” button on the new remote control for at least 10 seconds. The orange LED display on the remote control will start blinking. Continue to press the "Home" button until the LED flashes rapidly. A message will appear on the screen indicating that the remote control has been successfully paired.
[How to pair if you have the original remote control] 1. Press and hold the "Home" button on the new remote control for at least 10 seconds. The orange LED display will decrease slowly at first, then decrease rapidly. Now it is ready for pairing. Please use your original remote control for the next steps. 2. Press the Home button, select Settings from the menu at the top of the screen, then select Controllers & Bluetooth Devices, Amazon Fire TV Remotes, and Add New Remote. 3. Fire TV will detect a connectable remote control and display it on the screen. 4. Select the new remote control on the screen from the original remote control. A message will appear on the screen when pairing is complete. You can start using your new Alexa-enabled voice remote control.
[Remote control button question] If the volume +/-, mute, and power buttons do not work after pairing is completed, please follow the steps below: First, press the "Home" button on the remote control, then select "Settings" (gear icon) in the menu bar at the top of the screen, then select "Device Control" ＞ "Device Management" ＞ "TV" ＞ "Change TV". Next, follow the on-screen instructions to learn the buttons. It says it will take 5-10 minutes, but if you press "Change TV" the screen will change immediately and you can use your new remote control. Once trained, the button in question should work properly. If it still doesn't work, repeat the above steps again.
[Frequently Asked Questions] If there is no response after connecting to the TV, or if there is no response when performing other operations: You need to reset the remote control to its factory settings. You can factory reset your remote control by following the steps below. Press the "Left button", "Menu button" and "Back button" at the same time for 20 seconds. After releasing the button, press any button on the remote control. If the factory reset is successful, the green light will be on. If the green light does not turn on or the color is incorrect, please repeat the above steps.
[Troubleshooting] If you cannot connect a new remote control, please remove the batteries and reinsert them. If the remote control is not detected by the device, please press and hold the "Home" button for more than 10 seconds until the orange LED display flashes quickly. When replacing batteries, be sure to use new 1.5V alkaline batteries or 1.2V rechargeable NiMH batteries.
