hacotoy REVERSI is a product that was created with the idea of doing something with the scraps that come out during the product manufacturing process. Rather than being a ``sloppy design because it's eco-friendly'' or ``a tool you'll use reluctantly,'' we pay attention to every detail and design it as a ``fantastic thing you'll want to display.'' [Ensuring that precious resources are used properly to the end] A new form of reversi was born with this theme in mind. / *Using 4 types of natural wood / *Processing that takes advantage of the scent of wood
[Frame] The black part is walnut, the white part is cypress. The octagonal reversi frame utilizes the color of the wood itself to express black and white. The shape of the top is octagonal rather than round, which spreads out at the end and is said to be an auspicious shape. The shape of the top is octagonal rather than round, which spreads out at the end and is said to be an auspicious shape. Because it uses cypress wood scraps, it has a faint, refreshing scent of wood, allowing you to enjoy the game in a relaxed mood.
[Board] Paulownia is used for the protruding parts, and cedar is used for the recessed parts. The irregularities on the surface of the board allow the octagonal corners to touch each other, and the stepped shape makes it easy to turn over. The board surface can store the pieces as is, making it compact and tidy. In recent years, with the spread of smartphones and game consoles, products have become increasingly flat, but we have designed them to value the things that can be felt with all five senses, such as the tactile sensation, the scent of cypress, and the roundness of the corners.
Scrap materials are inevitably generated in the production of Masuda Kiribako store products. It is made from paulownia wood, cedar wood, cypress wood, walnut wood, and other materials that would normally be thrown away, but with the idea of making use of them so they don't go to waste. It is environmentally friendly and is made without using any paint, making use of the natural power of the material such as the smooth feel of wood and the strength of the craftsman.
This is a masterpiece created using only the original texture of the material and the processing techniques of craftsmen. Since there is no printing or painting on the board or the pieces, this is a board game that everyone from children to the elderly can enjoy together in the warmth of nature.
Masuda Kiribako Store: Making use of inherited paulownia box manufacturing techniques to create products that blend into modern life. Masuda Kiribako Store in Koga City, Fukuoka Prefecture, as its name suggests, is a manufacturer of paulownia boxes used to store things such as kimonos and tea ceremony bowls, and has a history of over 90 years since its founding in 1929. Currently, we are aiming to use paulownia wood boxes and their manufacturing technology in a form that is more pervasive in daily life. We develop interior and kitchen items in-house, such as light bookends made from paulownia, and rice bins and bread storage boxes that take advantage of paulownia's humidity-regulating properties. We are also developing SDGs-based products through crowdfunding and other methods.
