Note:
1. Please do not immerse the detector in any liquid water other than swimming pools or spas.
2. Please turn the rotary switch off when not in use.
3. Please store the tester in a cool and dry place.
Before the first use, please adjust the tester for the swimming pool water or hot spring water to be tested in the following order:
1. Test the swimming pool water or hot spring water with a traditional liquid test tool;
2. Record the chlorine reading for backup (1.5PPM);
3. No adjustment is required for PH.
Find the adjustment point of the tester:
A. Place a AA 1.5 V battery (positive side up) in the battery slot of the handle. (You need to bring your own battery)
B. Hold the tester in one hand and the test rod in the other.
C. Insert the cleaned metal rod into the water to the black position.
D. Gently stir the water with the metal rod.
E. While keeping the metal rod in the water, adjust the knob on the front of the meter to CL until it can no longer move. Then slowly adjust it back to the right until the pointer points to the position of the result measured by the traditional liquid test tool.
F. Remove the test rod from the water, being careful not to move the knob. The pointer will slide to the right and stop at a letter between A and E. This letter is the adjustment point.
Note: Before each chlorine test, the meter must be adjusted to the "adjustment point".
Testing pH:
The recommended chlorine content of swimming pool or spa water is 7.2 to 7.8
A) Leave the test stick in the water and adjust the knob to pH until it beeps (batteries must be removed when reading pH).
B) Wait until the pointer stops moving and then take a pH reading.
C) Gently dry the test stick, insert it into the slot next to the tester and store it.
The recommended chlorine content of swimming pool or spa water is 1.2 to 1.7ppm
A) Adjust the pointer to the "adjustment point" position.
B) Hold the tester in one hand and the test stick in the other hand, and insert the metal stick into the water until the black position. Wait until the pointer stops moving and then take a reading.
C) Leave the test stick in the water and continue to perform pH testing according to the instructions.
